There were a total of 3 installation variants of the audio card.
1. Installation in the Atari TT (VME bus front panel)
2. Installation in the Hades 060 or Milan (5 1/4 inch panel)
3. Installation in a 19 inch industrial case (3U VME slot expansion with several slots)
Installation in the Atari TT
Installation in the Atari TT is relatively simple. Insert it into the VME slot.
However, the DSP port is then not led to the outside due to lack of space.
If this is required for extensions, you can lead it to the outside with a cable.
For this, however, a hole must be cut into the tin cage of the VME slot.
The DSP connection (26 pin high density Sub-D socket) can, of course, also be integrated more beautifully into the case.
To do this, you have to drill a hole into the case and mill it out accordingly.

Installation in the Hades060
The audio card is built into a 5 1/4 inch slot.

Installation in a 19 inch industrial case
The installation in a 19 inch industrial case offers a relatively large amount of space for additional extensions.
The first example shows installation in a 5 1/4 inch module.

In the second variant, a 4 slot VME bus backplane is installed in the case. In addition to installing the Startrack audio card, this enables the installation of other hardware such as network cards, graphics cards, and more.
